OUR GUEST HAS ARRIVED!

So today is the BIG DAY! While on the way home from getting Sarah at school, I could have sworn we saw a black flash go across the sky. Sarah didn't see it, but she was pretty sure that there was a visitor on the way to our house. When we got home, Sarah started looking to see who had come to see her. She looked in her bedroom, her bathroom, even the kitchen, and there was nothing, but what to her wandering eyes did appear on the television stand, but an elf.

Upon inspecting this elf, Sarah noticed some green, silver, and red sparkles. I believe this is Christmas magic, and Sarah has it all over her. She is anxiously waiting to see if the elf is going to do anything, but to no avail. The elf will not do anything until Sarah is asleep. That is one of her rules from the big guy at the North Pole.

Now this elf had absolutely NO magic until Sarah named her. The name which she has chosen is Sparkles. Sparkles is a girl elf. She is actually a scout elf, not to be confused with the girl scout elves (nice play on words there). Her job during this Christmas season is to observe Sarah's every move, and then at night, when Sarah is sleeping, she is to fly back to the North Pole and report to Santa Claus, then fly back here to Ringgold before Sarah wakes up. Each time she returns, Sparkles is going to do something, whether she does something helpful or mischievous  that is up to how Sarah was the day before.

Sarah is already starting to straighten up. All we have to say is "Sparkles is watching", and that gets her attention.

Pre-Guest Preparation...

Thursday, November 29, 2012
So today is Thursday. This means that our daughter Sarah is getting ready for her special guest. He (or she) is set to arrive tomorrow around 10 am, and Sarah doesn't know who (or what) her guest is going to be. She is, however excited that someone is coming to see her and she is going to be getting ready for the arrival of her guest. All she knows is that this guest is coming straight from the North Pole, and will be here when she gets home from school.

We are definitely looking forward to this adventure!
